Anime The God of High School Webtoons

Is Commissioner Q dead? Will he survive?

The God of High School, by Yongje Park, is a famous Korean manhwa webtoon that’s currently being made into an anime.

As far as we’ve seen, the original story is wonderfully adapted, and the fight scenes are also beautifully animated.

However, the anime has recently picked up its pace, which is understandable given the fact that they have to fit a lot of plot into mere 13 episodes.

While the story can still be fleshed out better as there is not much substance to the characters and plot, the fights more than make-up for it.

2. Who was Sim Bongsa?

Sim Bongsa, also known as Announcer T, is a Commissioner of GOH. He was the one who presided and acted as the announcer of the Seoul Qualifiers.

In episode 6, he ran into Mira at the supermarket and explained how she should utilize her powers better and reach the peak of the Moonlight Sword technique.

He revealed that the reason he knew so much about the Moonlight sword was that the one who blinded him was a practitioner of that exact style.

I. Is Sim Bongsa Dead?

After running into Mira at the supermarket, he was confronted by a Nox assassin.

While the fight between them was not shown, Sim Bongsa was shown to be dead by the end of the episode.

His signature glasses and cane were covered with blood in the news coverage as they announced his death.

3. Motive of Attack on Bongs & Q

Both Nox and Park Mujin are searching for the key, and because of their power struggle, all the Commissioners are targeted.

As a result, Sim Bongsa, a Commissioner and announcer for GOH, was killed by a Nox assassin called Drake McDonald.

3. Will Commissioner Q survive? [Spoiler]

After Drake McDonald – an assassin from Nox, targeted Q, the latter had no opportunity to counter-attack and was pierced by his sword.

However, the main reason Q couldn’t fight back was that he was prohibited from using all of his strength.

After removing the limiter, he easily overpowered Drake, and with the help of Commissioner O, managed to defeat two more priests who had come as the Nox assassin’s back up.
